It's called "Women Works" and no ... it is not the female version of the Australian band "Men at Work." But contrary to what Colin Hay's band advocated in 1981, the year of the "Business as usual" album, LAVORO’s distributor in the Netherlands is dedicated, exclusively, to an unusual niche market: women personal protective equipment. At the fashion show, presented here in video, Women Works’ spokeswoman justifies their option and the slogan that sums up their business philosophy: "Because a single size does not fit all." The increase of the women population in technical professions, their specific needs and the different aesthetics (a different sense but also female body’s forms) are the main motivations of an unusual business, using the pink color as an approach to the feminine.
