LAVORO's stand at the A + A 2011 fair was visited by various media, including “O Emigrante/Mundo Português” through which ICC’s chairman of the board sent a word of appreciation to the Portuguese diaspora all around the world, recognizing the role that immigrants and Luso-descendants may have on the success of national companies in various markets.
"Portugal has to go to the markets to sell. As migrants are already seamlessly integrated they put together the almost perfect conditions because installation and recognition costs are already done. So they have the potential to become the best sales people", said Teófilo Leite, in an interview, recalling the case of Miguel Silva, who in his youth studied in Zurich and now represents LAVORO at the German, Austrian and Swiss markets.
